Project Onward, a program that supports the creative growth of visual
artists with mental and developmental disabilities, will host a
"Portrait Slam" on-site at the Randolph Street Market Festival this
month, June 25-26, and at every market for the rest of the season.
Attendees can have their portrait created by the talented Project Onward
artists for only $15. With the Market being pet-friendly, guests also
have the option to have a portrait created of their pets, or with their
pets!

Project Onward is supported by The Department of Cultural Affairs in
partnership with the Chicago Office of Tourism and Culture. The program
supplies studio space, art supplies, and professional guidance to more
than 30 adult artists living with mental and developmental disabilities.
Located in the Chicago Cultural Center, the public is welcome to visit
and enjoy Project Onward's exhibitions, purchase original works at
affordable prices and meet the artists. For more information on the
program, visit www.projectonward.org.
